I know I've not been around on here too much lately - much of my spare time has been taken up with finishing off the conference DVD and getting my house ready to move.
But at least I found the time to take a little holiday to Cornwall last week. During that time, I asked Claire (Sweet) to marry me; and thankfully, she agreed
So... will this be the first KC wedding, or are there other couples hiding out there?
About time, too?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! to you both from me, too.
"Lang may your lumb reek" as they say.
No idea if this is the first KC wedding - sounds like a good cue for the first KC congratulations party.

Re: About time, too?
Hehe here I am!!! Sorry that I haven't been here for a while, loads to do here getting John's house ready to move and loads of time spent working!!
Yes, John asked me to marry him and I said definitely!! Hehe! He says now that he was worried that I wouldn't say yes but what else was I going to say!??!!! LOL!!! I have a gorgeous platinum solitaire diamond ring, so how could a girl say no!??! LOL!!!
We do get on really well together though and it is nice to have someone who understands what KC is and the problems I can get with contact lenses. It is a really good support system! He also has a nurse when he needs one!! LOL!! There is a worry when we have children in the future though if they are going to be more at risk of having KC with both of us having it and having grafts, but I guess that we will know all about it and be able to support them growing up. Time will tell I'm sure.
Thanks for all your best wishes and support! See you soon! Loads of love, Claire X x X

Claire
We could not be more happy for you both! This is news that has no down side at all.
As to the future, let it look after itself; if your children do have problems with their sight then love and support them as you are uniquely able. If they have other problems or difficulties; love and support them as you are uniquely able.
Much love to you both.
Andrew

Dear John and Claire
Absolutely wonderful news!
As for the kiddies having KC, if that happens, a touch of C3r should do the trick
Only news like this could have got me out of "lurking" mode into posting.
I hope to see you both soon---(hint!)

Please have a listen to my daughter, if you have a spare moment, on www.myspace.com/emmaparnes. She also wrote the songs.

Re: About time, too?
Congratulations to you both for a long and happy future together.
Should any future children develop KC at least they will have understanding parents to guide them through any difficulties which must be an advantage.

ps Any chance of a photo of the happy couple and that ring?

Hi John & Claire
That is wonderful news - I am so happy for you both. Congratulations! (and I am another who hasn't been posting but have been lurking - although on holiday for most of June so missed this earlier!)
We need a pic of you both now - with a close up of the ring!! Oh, and a London social event soon please so we (well some of us!) can toast you in person!!
