Site missing for a few days

Postby John Smith » Tue 10 Jun 2008 10:29 pm

Please accept my apologies for the KC group website and forum being unavailable since Thursday/Friday last week.

This is basically because our domain registrar has erroneously removed my own domain from the registry and is holding us to ransom over it. Because my domain is providing DNS nameservers for this one, nobody except me could resolve the IP address of this domain, and the pages appeared to be missing.

If you didn't understand the previous paragraph, never mind; all you need to know is that I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but as I've now moved our DNS hosting to another domain (under my own control this time), all should be well here on.

John,
Sorry you've been having all these problems.
It's great to be back. Many thanks for fixing the trouble.
And lots of thanks for all the hard work "behind the scenes" to keep us running through the year.

Yes, there is certainly still some DNS propagation to be done. It's lightening fast for me at home, but was very slow from work earlier.

I hope that the speed will improve over the next couple of days.

Like Karl I understand every word of this. Unlike Karl, when the words are joined up in this sequence, I have not the slightest understanding of what they are being used to mean! Still I do know that the forum was broken and John fixed it, Claire agreed to marry him and we are all delighted! :D

Thanks John and love to you and Claire.
