How about:
Handbags and Gladrags - Rod Stewart's version
Reason to Believe - Rod Stweart
Life on Mars, Jean Genie, Changes - David Bowie
Money - Pink Floyd

To name a few and yes I'm definately a 70's person!

Thankyou Private and thankyou Lesley, some pretty good additions there. We'll try and keep it to one song from each artist, still they're all good.

We still need a few more tracks mind you, is it time to try the offers of dough based bribes again :?:

Jeremy,

If it's a choice then I would like Handbags and Gladrags.
It HAS to be the Rod Stewart version tho'.

Message received and understood Lesley.

I'm with you on the Rod Stewart version of Handbags & Glandrags, me being a child of the 90s, I'd only heard the stereophonics version until you mentioned the original and better version of that song, thankyou for enlightening me.

Anyhow I'm off to watch the snooker.

Bye for now.

Jez.

since I seem to be on a bit of a roll, can I suggest some more? Not sure if any of these will risk breaking the one title per artist rule:

Xanadu by Electric Light Orchestra
Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution by AC/DC
Hold back the river by Wet Wet Wet
Fool to cry by The Rolling Stones
don't think twice, its all right by Bob Dylan

Hey no probs Private, thinking about it, what might be easier is once we've got enough songs cobbled together, I'll draw up a preliminary playlist of all the songs and then give people a chance to say whether they think we've got the right mix or whether something else should be added on or taken away and so on.

So keep the suggestions coming everyone.

Jez.
