Mmmmmm...... some dozy person managed to bust their PC in a big way.

Don't know who it could have been

Fortunately the person concerned had made backups of their system, however couldn't find them or in some cases reach them as their shoulder had just been operated on.

Normality is now restored.....just got to catch up with all the posts

The main problem was getting at the back up discs, Id put them in a top cupboard right at the back, and couldn't reach them because of the shoulder op I've just had     Even funnier was watching the OH trying to get them - think little legs and short arms.

Hello Karl
Sorry you have had PC problems - and hope the shoulder is recovering. I have just had surgery too and am currently recovering at home - but we won't go into the detail!!

Now then, (Andrew in particular please....and anyone else....) some help needed please! I have just purchased a brand new computer - but it is an iMac! I finally took the plunge and am really pleased - but getting to grips with it's differences from a windows based PC is proving challenging! Where is the best place to start.....? I'm struggling to get it to display everything larger......

Thanks

Pat

Can't help you Pat, sorry. I'm very much a windows person. Tried Safari the other day on my PC and hate it.

Sorry Pat, I just came across this post.

In the apple menu draw down to System Preferences

In System, select 'universal access'

In 'Seeing" select 'Zoom' and go to 'options' to customize your zoom feature.
