Hey Lesley.

What took you so long. I was expecting to hear from you last night   .

All i can say is well done and well played. Tottenham were excellent!

To be honest, I would say, Tottenham played better than Arsenal in all of the last 3 matches and I saw this defeat coming.

As much as it goes against the grain, I think I will be hoping for a Tottenham win if they play Chelsea in the final; otherwise I will be cheering Everton on. :

By the way, I hope things are going better for you now.

Hello Michael,

I was out last night so recorded the match, by the time I finished watching it was nearly 1am and I was k*******d so decided not to rub any more salt into your wounded pride :D

It was definately a good match as was the first leg but I have to say that given the way Spurs have played this season I worried that they had scored too early. I think Ramos has certainly motivated the team but I feel that some credit must go to Martin Jol for getting the players. Now let's see if we can do the same against Man. U. on Sunday 8)

At the moment it looks as tho you will be supporting Spurs on February 24th

As for everything else it is going well at the moment thankyou.

Yep, Lesley, I suppose I will be cheering ( well perhaps not too loudly) Tottenham on.

I think the most important thing Ramos has done is to get your boys fit. That has been, in my opinion, a major reason for their success. Your boys were like RATS swarming all over our youngsters! .

Till the next time.

Michael,

I hope you are ready to give your support to Spurs tomorrow :D

And I just want to say I'm sorry to hear about what happened to Eduardo today. I hope it is not as serious as first thought and wish him a speedy recovery. Didn't see the match or highlights so can't pass judgement on the tackle but I'm sure it wasn't intentional.

Anyway. Come on you Spurs at Wembley.

Indeed Lesley, I did give Spurs my support although I only saw the last 10 minutes of the match plus extra time. Congratulations.

i suspect more trophies will follow very soon.

Yes, the Eduardo incident was horrific although the tackle itself did not seem to be malicious, rather ill-judged.

I blame the Head of Referees, who shall be nameless. He has encouraged referees to be far too lenient with the result that there are more and more reckless tackles. Too many red cards are given for "hand bags at dawn" incidents off the ball and not enough for dangerous and reckless challenges. I think this injury was probably not caused deliberately; more likely down to sheer incompetence!

Thanks for the congratulations, it was an excellent match, Spurs were much the better side overall I think and I know I maybe biased here but Chelsea were rubbish really!!!

I am inclined to agree with you regarding the giving of red cards, some things definately need them such as stud showing tackles whether deliberate or not but really the refs should use their discretion over other things. Perhaps the whole system needs a revamp or perhaps the refereeing body should make known what cards are given for and stick to it and the FA and Premier league should instruct all teams that refs decision is absolute on the field of play and any questions should be made afterwards. I hope that makes sense.

As for Eduardo, I wish him a spweedy recovery as mentioned before, he was too quick for the guy making the tackle hence the mistime.

Cheers.

Hi Lesley
Can I (as another gooner) offer my congrats for yesterday - I watched some of the match whilst pounding the treadmill - and extra time in the bar afterwards! I didn't dare go home to my Spurs supporter hubby until I knew they had won! They certainly deserved to - and didn't deserve to have to go into extra time either .

I nearly threw up when I saw the Eduardo incident - not because of the tackle but when I saw his foot at totally the wrong angle - I'm a bit squeamish at the best of times! Even the pictures in today's papers make my stomach turn.

Let's hope he can eventually return to the game.
