Those of you who get dermatitis/eczema, I know there's a fair few, a question - do you find that being stressed or physically under par can trigger it?
I recovered completely recently from contact dermatitis but it's flared up again after news of a death and seasonal lergy.
Can't remember who recommended me Doublebase, but I have that, and Oilatum cream, [there's also one for the face] and bathoil

Re: Dermatitis/eczema
Hi..Yep I find it gets worse if I am stressed or had bad news.... I also find my eczema gets worse if I am ill like a chest infection of something like that...there are laods of treatments avilable but be care if you use steriods as they can worse side effects if used for to long... I normaly have several creams on the go and find ringing the changes helps... so use one for a while then when it stops working use another and then maybe go back to the first. I hope this is of some help

Hi Louise
I think both Anne B & myself recommended the Doublebase - hope it works for you too.
And regarding whether stress triggers it - a very definite yes! In fact that is really the only time I suffer badly - when I'm stressed or generally under the weather. The best cure for it is sunshine according to my GP (in moderation of course!) - which is why I also find mine gets worse in winter.
Sorry to hear you are having a bit of a rough time at the moment - have a hug from me!

I used to lay in a salt-water bath. I found that better than all the betnovate etc. Now I am in the Navy so salt water is in plentiful supply and I don't suffer at all!

Time to start wearing a life-jacket full time Matthew and be cautious of people called Louise

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.
KC managed with softperm lens in left eye, Intacs (2/11/07) in right eye
