Tuna Steak and Salad with new potatoes, could happily live on that.

If you were stuck in a lift with someone who would you least like it to be and why?

My son.

(We were stuck in a lift one time ... in a hospital, actually. The only other occupant was a doctor who quickly braced herself against the wall. My son discovered that by stamping his feet on the floor he could make a rather pleasing sound reverborate in the lift shaft. This did nothing to calm the nerves of the increasingly distressed medic. Meanwhile I discovered that by pressing the intercom button I could have a little chat with somebody in the hospital control room who sent for an engineer. When we eventually got to a floor and the door opened our travelling companion shot out of the lift like a greyhound after a hare.)

You are stuck on a desert island. You have only eight records; but they are your all time most hated bits of music. What are they?

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi - he showed that independence could be achieved through peaceful civil disobedience and not through violence.

If you could travel back in time and take over another person's thoughts when would you go back to, who would you take over and why?

(this was an actual interview question I had)

+1 me to Karl.

I would go back to Nelson Mandela's years in prison to understand how he coped.
Or Martha Graham to get inside her choreographic processes.

If you could be a film character who would you be?
[for me it has to be Linda Hamilton in T2, best escape from the bin ever! Or, Sigourney Weaver in the Alien films cos she's tougher than all the guys put together]

I'd have to be the sheepdog rounding up all the sheep cos that's the only animal that doesn't get eaten!

If you could play any instrument what would you play?
[tabla for me]
