Did anyone watch the Joe Calzaghe and Khan fight last night and did you think the Calzaghe fight was stopped to soon?
I used to do amature boxing before my KC and in the early stages of my KC (until i couldnt see to box) and when i got my lenses no chance of a bout so i was demoted to 'Corner Girl'.
I watch the fights at home now so i can get up close to the tv.

No, missed it! My friend who always kept me in touch with the boxing world now lives in japan, which is too far from Scotland to allow regular commuting.
I guess that the Referee has a difficult job deciding when toistop a bout and when to let it continue.

Sorry Emma - it's one sport I have absolutely no interest in whatsoever!
But my hubby enjoys watching it - in between the golf, football, cricket, athletics......and the list goes on!

				Emma
I did watch it. I think Calazaghe is on danger ground as his is becoming more and more lax with the opponents....
Khan : Outstanding potential..but EVERY single fight in his pro career has been carefully hand picked to make him look good. When he is put up against top rated fighters; that will be when we will see the real Khan.....in the mean time I hope he just doesnt become another Naseem Hamed, fully of c**p and talentless. excuse my cantonese!

				Hi Jayuk
Couldnt agree more with Khan at least we got to see into the 3rd round (unlike just seconds) hes quick but i would like to see if he could keep the pace and last more rounds with a fair contender then we would see what hes made of.

If I remember correctly the same thing happened with Frank Bruno, he won most of his fights and then came up against Mike Tyson. That's going back a while and I can't remember if Frank did manage to win the heavyweight title at some point. Perhaps someone can remind me.
Lesley.

				Hi Lesley
Had to look it up 1989 and 1996 Tyson won both fights against Bruno.
Saying....theres always somebody bigger and better im sure Khan will meet his match.
