i wonder...

Postby Sarah M » Wed 04 Apr 2007 10:06 pm

As i mentioned in another post (if you read it) I have decided to start a thread on the things that trouble me. (Thanks to ChrisK's suggestion - can't take all the credit)

Please feel free to add your own ponderings, hopefully, someone will know the answers, and we will have no more sleepless nights.

So the first one - its not a good one but it has troubled me today.

Whenever there is nothing good on TV, you can always rely on the American sitcom '8 Simple Rules' to be on abc1. I would love to know, what the 8 simple rules are. Hmmm

Well this is no good,

You give me something to help you ponder on and then find the results before I've had the chance to ponder.

I guess I'm going to have to ponder upon what you may be pondering tomorrow. :D

My sister used to do that: she was (ans still is) a born worryier.

When she had nothing to worry about (which was most of the time) she's worry about not worrying, and at night she always had the next day to worry about.

She was happy.

Ok heres todays thought.

Why do spiders insist on sitting/standing (whatever it is they do) upside down on the ceiling?

Gareth

That raises another thought: "Would we stand upside down on the ceiling, if we could?"

The answer has to be "sometimes".

well i have had to resort to looking for the answer myself again, purely because there was a massive one above my bed this morning.

Now i'm scared to go to my bed tonight, because did you know, the average person swallows between 5 and 7 spiders in their lifetime whilst sleeping. Apparently.

If we swallow that many spiders there is no point in being vegitarian

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly.
I dunno why she swallowed that fly,
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly -
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a bird;
How absurd, to swallow a bird!
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly -
Perhaps she'll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a cat.
Imagine that, she swallowed a cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a dog.
What a hog! To swallow a dog!
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat...
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a goat.
Just opened her throat and swallowed a goat!
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog ...
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a cow.
I don't know how she swallowed a cow!
She swallowed the cow to catch the goat... She swallowed the goat to catch the dog...

There was an old lady who swallowed a horse -
She's dead, of course.

Sorry, I couldn't resist it!
