Didn't catch tonight's Sarah, but I have it recorded. I'll post my theories when I do.

I have never seen Lost, but my son is a fan.

It sounds like The Prisoner (of beloved memory). If you think you understand it; you are wrong.

Andrew,

My other half is a Prisoner fan, he told me the other day that it is being remade and I think it is out sometime this year. I will double check that tho'. Won't make any difference to me I didn't understand it first time round :? A few years back we visited Port Merion in North Wales where it was filmed. Nice place but a bit tatty, I think it's been done up since then.

Lesley.

Sorry Sarah, but like the rest of the world I am totally "lost" too!

I daresay the writers haven't a clue either.

I watched it on C4 but I don't have Sky or whatever it's on now. I liked Syeed and the guy who had his kidney stolen [Locke?]

I loved The Prisoner! Got the box set in the HMV sale. The guy who played Jason King in the 60's is one of the No 2's!

Louise

I agree about the Jason King actor being one of the best Number 2\s of the series. Can you rmember his name?

Think his name is Peter Wyngard Andrew. I also liked Leo Mckern, he was a good no 2. What's your analysis of the last episode?

I was sorry they made the last episode.

Any attempt to make sense of the Prisoner was always going to fail. Was it the nightmare of number six? Was it a real prison? Was number six on acid?

All these questions ran through the whole programme. For my part I always thought that the programme worked in the context of a drug induced de-brief of "danger man" when he "resigned".

Still, I think that they had built up such a cult following that they had to do something to let the actors and crew get on with other projects. An end had to be found. For some reason they decided not to kill him off. Result: a good but still disappointing end to an excellent programme.
