What a completely miserable weekend of football. After storming out of St.James 20 mins before the end, I turned my attention to todays game.
Actually totally supporting Arsenal and Chelsea <sighs> even the good teams lose when I follow them

Ho Ho! That doesn't happen every weekend, we beat Arsenal! Shame about the managers little scuffle! And there was me being down on them! That's the great thing about supporting West Ham, nothing predictable about them at all. Sorry to all the gooners, no hard feelings!
Got my 2 year old to say "Up the hammers! yesterday, he does it with gusto!

Matthew, no hard feelings at all. If we must lose to a London team i am happy for it to be West Ham.

Whilst I was totally distraught, I must say that in the end I think they just about deserved to win.

I did feel that we were a little below par and the exertions against Everton and then CSK Moscow took their toll.

These were matches they should have won at a stroll and instead had to fight for 90 minutes plus for scant reward. Oh well that's the beautiful game for you.

the advantage of supporting a team of which nobody has ever heard is that they play matches of which nobody every learns against teams whose names are not known to anybody.

Morton!
