I've been mixing with famous people!

Ok so the famous people are well known in the classic car world, but having spent over an hour with Mark Evans while I worked with a friend to fix one of the cars due to be on stage. Only got to speak to Mike Brewers feet

No I was not overcome by the shock of meeting two celebreties, he was enquiring as to the repair progress and considering I had a starter motor in my hand and trying to bolt it on. He sounded surprised when I said its easier for the blind guy to do it and I'm used to feeling my way around things

Car missed its slot, but fingers crossed will be on stage tomorrow for the cars of the decade parade.

Jerry Thurlston from Salvage Squad was a nice bloke too, pain in the neck but that is because he is so much taller than me so much looking up his nose was done

Come to the NEC and have a look round and say hi, I am on the AVO stand, your ticket will get you into the MPH show as well. Two shows for the price of one can not be bad.

9pm Tuesdays on Discovery Real Time; Autotrader for Mike Brewer.

Jerry Thurlston in Salvage Squad used to be on Chanel 4 with Suggs from Madness.

Mark Evans started as a vet prseneting on BBC, then did dream machines on Chanel 4, then on Discovery Real Time; A Car is Borne, A plane is Borne, A helicopter is Borne, A car is Reborne as well as running his farm and his own veterinary practice.

Your homework this weekend is to search the Discovery web site and the Discovery Channels to learn about these stars :D

Well Gareth I have heard of both of them if only becase my husband and two sons watched Salvage Squad and similar type programmes.

When there is nothing else worth watching on the hundreds of channels now availabe they watch those programmes on the Discovery channel, especially those about planes, usually crashes but also the ones about building them.

My husband spends a lot of time in Toulouse with Airbus and their new A380.

Hi Lesley, i hope your husband isn't to blame for the total cock up with the A380.

Sorry Gareth but I won't be going out of my way to watch your new mates. I will be too busy watching the paint dry in my son's bedroom

No Michael he isn't

The company he works for work with the people designing and making the wings. He says there are plenty of them piling up in the hangers waiting to be fitted to the rest of the plane!

I think it is a nice plane, kinda cute

By the way how's the paint drying going :D

Gareth, glad you had a good day.

Lesley.
