a) Players getting paid too much money and dont have desire?

b) Players are just too selfish for there own glory and thus only play for themselves?

c) We are over hyped and are just plainly sub-standard?

d) You just dont care!

Jay I totally agree with you.

It was a really poor display by Emgland last night even with Robinson's mis-kick, why did Neville pass back to him anyway he, Neville, seemed quite incapable of passing the ball to the forwards.

Bring back Beckham I say at least he showed a pasion for playing for England.

Yes I agree...bring him back...BUT I dont think he should get the "he plays all games" cap that was given to him....he still has a place in the England Team.....but who knows! Im pretty sure he was axed for non-footballing reasons by McClaren....but what gets me is that what has McClaren done? whats he won?..Why wasnt O'Neil put in place?..what influence did David Dein have on this?.....all corrupt!...thats what I say!

I don't know why Becks was pushed out, maybe McLaren just doesn't like him but I do think he would have made a difference last night. John Terry doesn't seem to motivate the team like Beckham did.

As for why did they choose McLaren, perhaps it was a case of he'll do for now, I don't think he will be there for long. Maybe O'Neil would have been right, personally I think Terry Venebles should br given another go, we just have to hope he can pass his knowledge to the present incumbant as his assistant.

True....but then theres also Lampard...useless...31 shots on goal in world cup and not one on target!

Rooney? hasnt scored in like 28 matches or something for england?

silliness! Players just have too much power in my opinion....and theres only a few managers who could kick ass.....

England need someone like Sir Alec or, dare I say it as a Spurs fan, Arsene Wenger. I don't think either of them would stand any nonsense.

I realise that McLaren wants to bring his own ideas to the team but surely you don't get rid of all the experienced players right at the start of your term. You have to build gradually and introduce new players slowly and certainly not mess around with systems for vital games, that's what friendlies are for.
