Hi
I am thinking about having a small group of fish as pets in my bedroom so they will have to be cold water. I have had goldfish once before and fancy a change from them but not sure what is best to have next. The tank is not very big so they will have to be small fish.

If anyone can recommend any fish it would be great!

Thanks for your help Stacexxx

Sorry, that was the random flippancy syndrome!

Not sure about small coldwater fish! Most small fish are tropical like guppies, silver sharks etc. Your local pet shop should be able to advise.

We just happen to have bought two new fish today. :D The choice of colour and shape shop had was bewildering and it took us ages to choose them. Do you have anywhere close by where you could go to have a look and see if anything catches your eye?

Black Moores are cold water fish, but if you can keep one alive for more than a couple of months you will do well.

They also grow quite big.

They swim a bit like the way bumble bees fly. BUT they are well worth the effort: they do not outgrow their space and look stunning in a tank.
