K-9!!!!!!!!

Postby Louise Pembroke » Sat 30 Sep 2006 10:54 pm

I am now the proud owner of the new large scale [17"x11"] remote controlled K-9. He has the red headlight, retractable laser in his nose, removeable side panel [great start up voice/sound effects], his ears wiggle when he's moving and a great range of voice sound effects ie "affirmative master".

Excellent!

As a Time Lady though, surely K9 should call you "mistress" rather than "master"?

I take it that the voice is genuine John Leeson, not some poor imitation? Does the head move up and down too?

His head doesn't move up & down, that's my only criticism, and yes the voice sounds pretty good to me. Jay man, wish I could put a picture up but I don't possess a digital camera and even if I did I'm sure my technical ineptitude would mean I would be able to work out how to post a picture!
I have the large Dalek too so now they can go into battle, K-9 wins everytime of course, and my small furry dogs go for rides on the back of K-9.
The Forbidden Planet catologue has some great stuff. There's a remote controlled Davros and Dalek alarm clocks!
I wish he did say "mistress", the very small one does, otherwise I'd press that button all day!

I keep going to forbidden planet to see if they have any Captain Britain stuff but they just have the comics themselves, well..Excaliber. It would be great to get a CB model.
I don't think K-9 could really kick a Daleks @@@*** could he? Four of them (Daleks) made pretty short work of 5 million Cybermen in the last episode!

Think the Dr had a large part in kicking Cybermen butt as well as the Daleks.

Just to be perdantic it was not four Daleks, they did open their little magic box and release more Daleks

Later this wek should be the next issue of the Dr Who mag with the first part of the Tardis to store the cards in.

My daughter already has some of the very rare cards, she is chuffed to bits. As she was extra good this week and got an award we have subscribed to the mag which means the top to the Tardis is an upgrade so has the flashing light on top :D

My Eldest wanted to get that mag until i told her she had to get it out of her savings, then she changed her mind

My middle girl is so scared by Dr who, she will not turn the TV on at anytime of day incase Dr who is on. She calls for help then hides behind a cushion until its safe. Bless her

Ok I am getting petty but it was just four daleks at the start BEFORE they opened up the genesis ark and they WERE SERIOUSLY kicking Cyber bum! There was melted tin everywhere and the Daleks didn't even break into sweat. OK they were special Daleks (they had names) but Daleks and Cybermen , no contest! Dr Who is the only credible rival to the Daleks and maybe K-9 (I don't really believe that but I don't want to upset Louise!)
