Well, vintage Doctor I'd say. Spectacular finish, certainly. Farewell to Rose, sadly.

The Doctor alone again. Tragically, but so the story continues ...

Roll on December.

It was a bit of a cop-out that they didn't finish her off properly - and that she got rescued just before falling into the void. Still, excellent episode, Daleks vs cybermen, I can't believe we have to wait till December for the start of the next series!

Loved the episode - a fantastic end to the series.

And Catherine Tate in the Christmas Special - I can't wait. 8)

Well, we finally know who is "harder". It's now official. Daleks are better monsters than Cybermen. Thought so all along.

And although we have to wait until December 25th for more new "Doctor Who", we'll see more of Torchwood in it's own series in September.

Bring back Captain Jack!

With Doctor Who enjoying a renaissance, and even a spin off series in the autumn, I just hope we can expect to see the return of Blakes 7. I'd like to see what the new FX crew at the BBC would make of ORAK, Liberator etc.

I have decided not to wait until December. Have bought a load of DVD's . So, what if I can prompt them .. it's the doctor.

By the way, does anybody know if there is to be a second Hitchhilers film in the cinema?

Andrew

ps, John, I'd have predicted a DALEK victory over the cuybermen, but as rose said five million ot four seemed like good odds to the DALEKS, but when the same four faced a single Doctor (and Rose), well that was a different matter.

I don't know if there is to be a second Hitchhikers' film. To be honest I don't like it very much. I have the TV series on VHS (old fashioned DVDs to younger members!) It is brilliant. Has stood the test of time really well - i guess because looking slightly too cheap and ridiculous was part of the charm. It is available on DVD and well worth watching again.

Only the jokes about digital watches make it seem dated.

As for Blakes 7 - Avon was my first serious crush. Just the right mix of devil and angel, and he was right about Villa being a whimp. Even as a child I was drawn to all the wrong men!

Oh Brigid yes you have good taste! And he's still 'got it', I met him 6 yrs ago at a convention and he is a genuinely very charming man and I got to snog him! [ok in front of 50 people but hey I'm not complaining]

I seem to recall that Paul Darrow (he of the Louise-snogging fame) now owns the rights to Blake's 7. There were talks a couple of years ago of bringing it back, with only Avon from the original cast still around.

As for Liberator, now that was a great ship. Shame it blew up though.

Louise for Servalan!
