Cybermen AND Daleks

never before in the history of hyman fiction have so many baddies been ranged against a single hero. Billie Piper was looking for a way out and the BBC promised something spectacular.

Lou, pity we don't have your TARDIS to hop forward to next week.

I'm gutted, next Saturday I am racing at Castle Combeand meeting Tiff Nedel from the telly!

Will have to try and get back to the hotel for Dr Who and have our meal after everyone else!

Yes, life is hard when you hve to balance priorities. Probaly find that everybody will be heading to their rooms to catch up with the good doctor, and that the meal can be postponed.

I have a wedding, and they are not as flexible as race meetings, but we also have one of those DVD machines and my son seems to know how to make it record.

My brother was attending a wedding at 3pm this afternoon - I cannot help but feel sorry for the bride with the groom and half the guests just wanting the ceremony over quickly so they could rush to the TV lounge - then and extra half hour before they served dinner - then a room full of grumpy diners!

Also we have just had to rename our cat (previously called Ronaldo ~ because of his white socks!!! )

If only the cybermen had come an hour earlier they could have upgraded the Portugese team and saved us all alot of bother!!!

Brigid

PS I have a tardis tea caddy - but it has Tom Baker standing in the door way, because he is my favourite Dr, even though DT is cuter!

I wouldn't leave the building if it were on fire to watch Dr Who

Well, what can I say... apart from that I take it all back - Russell T. Davies can indeed write his way out of a paper bag. And how.

Of course, this isn't the first time that there has been Dalek and Cyberman in the same episode... The Five Doctors (Davison et al) saw the first Doctor dodge a dalek whilst the fifth left the Master to the Cybermen.

And in last year's Dalek, the Doctor was sad to see a cyber-head in one of the display cases.

But, this is the first time, that live daleks have been in the same scene as live cybermen! And isn't it great?! 8)

I have some young friends staying with me this weekend, and they were travelling when WHO was broadcast, and it was their bedtime once they arrived. "Can we watch it tomorrow?". No... you have to go to the Christening. "Can we go AFTER watching Doctor Who?"

He's back. And it's about time.

Mickey is back from the paralle ujniverse. Billie Piper is there and her mum. The doc is a prisoner of the shadow "torchwood" institute. Cybermen have occupied the planet. Daleks are streaming out of the abyss. And David Tennant won't even tell his dad what happens next!

I've ordered the DVD from the BBC.

I think that Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant both managed to recapture something of the William Hartnel Doctor. These three have managed to play the doctor as other than unambiguoulsy good.

Mme du Pompadour, "What do monsters have nightmares about?"

Doctor, "Me".

An all-good or too-good Doctor stood as a rebuke to our humanity. The three sightly off-good doctors give us an opportunity to pity the poor hero.

I love it!
