G'day to all you Aussie members.

To Jo and Pru I maybe a Pom bot I follow the Aussie Rules and am a paid up member of Carlton.
The highlights show is on over here on satellite so I get my fix each week. I guess it's a race between the Blues and the Bombers as to who gets the wooden spoon this year hopefully next season they will both be up where they belong.

My ambition is to actually watch a live match someday.

I once played an Aussie Rules match. Well, it started off as a charity event, Rugby against Aussie Rules .. nothing too serious we thought.

It ended up as a rout (and it was not the Aussie Rules team made up of Australian students at Edinburgh University who were routed!)

I don't think I have ever been so sore!

If people ask me what Aussie rules is I tell them it's like American football without the padding and endless stopping. It certainly isn't a games for the fainthearted!

I just tell them its Rugby but without he civilizing rules. They ask which rules are civilizing and I say all of them!
