Does anyone else find the windy weather annoying with RGP's expecially in cities like London. It feels like all the dust and grit blown around by the wind has a homing device to get under my lens, argh! I almost walked into a car whilst temporarily 'blinded' you know what I mean, it can be such a sharp pain. Then in some shops I've noticed that if my eye is streaming and I'm squinting, the security person starts following me around and I feel like shouting at him, 'well do something bloody useful then and carry my basket if you're going to follow me around'!
Can we have a grumpy old women thread please, I'll kick it off!

I have to wear my sunglasses whether its sunny or not cus of the wind.
But the sun geez i love it but hate it. Terrible pain in my eyes.
i get paranoid with these guards. Im not wandering around staking the joint im trying to find my fella for heaven sake.
Had a laugh the other day though. This elderly lady asked me to cross her over the road.
I said "erm only if you help me cross cus i cant see either"

Never had a problem with security guards and with my glasses dust and wind is rarely a problem.
Can't use sunglasses as the wind and dust just wgips round the rims which is the perfect angle for dust to get under the edge of the lens.
My tinnted safety glasses are specifiaclly designed to be used in windy and dusty areas and with the snug fit they look like better fitting wrap round sun glasses.

Visit this place Fisher Scientific
In the search window type in 'TORNADO' and you will get 8 results; click on 'browse these products in our web catalogue'.
Items 5 - 7 in the list are similar to my glasses I use evry day.
The black lenses is what I have and they are not too expensive either.

Yeah, I too dread the wind.
But I don't seem to get dust under my lens half as much these days. Don't know if my lens is a better fit now, or if there is less dust in the air.
I live on a busy dual carriageway and have been stuck in the middle on several occaisions. Trying to get across with streaming eyes, attempting to fish out my mobile to phone home (10 yards away ), for someone to come out to rescue me!
I was in the Post Office on saturday and recalled the time I had to take refuge in their photo booth, to sort my lenses on a blustery day. How embarrasing.
