Yes i feel the same! Could never do a nine to five job for that very reason as then i would only have weekends off and Sunday is useless for shopping! LOL!!

Hehe weekends pay more and bank holidays are even better! Also working in the week means i get to have some weekends off! Great!

To be honest I like it, over here in Germany all the shops closed for the bank holiday.

Compared to the UK there is a real sense of family and community. If you do not like the relies, then off out for something organised within the community.

Just been down to the Circus and that was good fun.

Heh Gareth....

I know what you mean.. just spent some time chugging 4 mph round the Broads here. I thought the lack of speed would drive me mad but I did eventually relax!

Sometimes you just need to chill out! :)

Hehe well it is hard NOT to relax where i live, as there is so much water and places to see even when you have just come back as i have from a two hour walk around the docks without my lenses in! Hehe!!

Well i kept walking and walking, thinking that any minute i might get to the end of the very large dock so that i could walk around it, but as those with bad eyesight know, street lights are not always where they appear to be! And what i was taking to be as an ending ACROSS the water was actually a dam reflection down my side of it! LOL!! So after just over an hour i thought sweet just give in because unless you swim across it there isn't a hope in hells chance of walking around it!! So back i came exactly the same way i went!!!

But ... it was sure fun, i got to do some thinking and with NO people or traffic it was a lovely way to spend the evening. Though due to a lack of sleep bed was where i should have been heading! LOL!! Oh well ... time is short eh?!!

We took a five mile walk round parts of central Glasgow that do not often visit. It was wonderful. The shops were open, but if you keep a block away from the maor shopping streets, the city is fairly quiet. In the evenening we found a restarurant in which we had not eaten before and discovered a simply wonderful chef; he underatnds food and cooks sublimely.

Bank Holidays! I love them!
