I just got in from our sunrise service, and thought I'd wish everybody a happy Easter.

Happy Easter everyone!

Sunrise services sound like awesome stuff, Andrew, and it was such a nice morning as well (at least, it was in Birmingham, anyway!)

When to the bakery accompanied by church bells as by 10 o'clock breakfast was not served and I must be in the only house in Germany that is devoid of all food!

Not now, breakfast was finally served at the other aunts house next door at 11am! I had been up since 6am UK time!

Going for Cafe Trinken which is the closest wewill come before lunch and tea will be at about 9pm!

I have not encounted another German familly like this and I know quite a few!

Gareth

Wjile I was a student in Satlzurg I used to go with friends across the border for coffee in Bavaria, where it was much cheaper. I made the classic mistake of all english speakers and ordered Ein
Schwarzwalderkirschtorte, bitte.

The stasfrau brought me coffee and a whole Black Forest Cherry Cake . She was not at all happy when I objected that I had intended to order ein scheibe! Well if that was what he wanted, shy didn't he order that. I remember her saying in very clear English "Crazy English". I did not correct her

It was glorious this morning. I stood looking along the line of the river as the sun rose behind the hills on the opposite side. As it came up a great pathway of reflected light appeared on the surface of the water.

Awesome!
