Andrew, you really do get the most beautiful views... even if it is really cold.
Hope you made it to church.

Hi
Just showed my 4 year old your picture and she said "is that for real life in this world". I don't think she has ever seen snow like that before.
Have a good day and keep warm.

assure your daughter that it really is for real! Yes we are greatly blessed here; we have wonderful views and the snow, when it coes come, seldom lasts long!

Made it to church and the congregation was united in hardship!
Some time I'll post a picture of the view on a nice day! There is a little problem; I only have my phone to take these pictures, so the definition of the distant mountains may not be too clear.
Here is a pic I took with my phone in our graveyard

It's a Nokia of some sort (I know it has a number but don't know what it is.
It seems to have that Swedish King Harald Blåtand (Bluetooth) working inside it so I can move pictures from my phone to my computer. I am quite happy with the result, but being a fixed lens the foreground is huge and the distance seems much further away.

The only thing it ever seems to snow here is ash. The good news is this weekends bushfires are not affecting us, and the cool change has come through. The bad news is the rain may cause our water supply to be contaminated due to ash and silt from the Australia day fires.
On a slightly funny not a fire fighter was woken by his pager on Friday to attend the fire at his house. He and his girlfriend fortunatley were able to get out (thanks to the pager) but the house was destroyed.
Andrew I want some snow it is so pretty. It was 40 degrees here on Saturday snow sounds wonderful.
