John

I agree with you ... the Borg are really just scary Cyber Men, in the same way as R2D2 was just a friendly Dalek.

I.m looking forward to the re-appearance of the Cyber Men, and hope that they manage to make them a bit more intimidating.

As far as sillyness goes, I don't think you can beat Racing Grannies!

Good if this were virtual, raise money for the group through on-line betting on which will win :D

You think that's a silly idea?

I've been in nursing homes at lunch time. The residents enjoy a zimmer frame race, although some of them can employ tactics that would lead to disqualification in more serious atheletics.

Grannies in the nursing home having races reminds me of rather a rude joke :D

However this not the forum for such a thing

I once attended a birthday party that was being given for a woman who was, at the time, Britain's oldest resident. The Queen Mother was coming too.

I arrived early, and the QM was duly welcomed and introduced. Then the management of the house in which the old lady lived asked us if we would mind not going into the sitting room to meet the celebrity, as there was an argument in full swing.

This was settled when the oldest woman in Britain banged her Zimmer on the floor and snapped to her interlocutor "I'll thank you to remember that I am old enough to be your mother."

Argument settled!

We had a lovely party.
