Steady Sajeev. I do not read here that Gareth thinks he knows more than anybody else; he is just asking if there is anything with which he can help.

If the answer is "yes", say so. If it is "no". then why all the hullabaloo? I may have missed something here, but I thought you had wanted contact with John. You got it.

It is quite proper in English to talk of the "tone" of written language. Another metaphor that is commonly used is "register". I'd say that
you really hear tones... my god! I can only see text with out any sounds
was "sarcastic" in tone. I'd be surprised if you disagreed.

Anyway, all the best.

Andrew

Andew I know your trying to smooth things... but really its not needed. Also you are taking sides just for the sake of taking sides for your buddy ...and so is Gareth. You see it all the time here.

If he wants "pretty" little posts then he must write to people who will do that for him... I don't like how people like him write... but do i care? I could say i don't like his tone... will it make a difference? So lets stick to the black and white.

He thinks he has paranormal abilities and can see beyond his computer ... i think he should clam down and just answer the first question... and that would be it.

His got experience of everything so he can write it all, why ask anyone else, even though really his only got experiance of his grafts (which is biased in it self)

Obviously he has not answered my FIRST question... so obviouly he can't help me... so no further questions is needed

I needed to reply to someone by PM which to me was important as its was about their eye sight, and i can't reply... no one cares really that someone can tamper with my private messages and get way with it... would you of known about all this if i never posted it... there just would have been excuses... there has been plenty already... and there will be more to come I am sure ...pretty sure...

Once and for all:

The PM facility was an "accidental" addition to the KC Group forum. It was disabled when the forum went live, and noone complained. A subsequent forum upgrade enabled PMs without my knowledge and people found the facility without announcement, and they found it useful.

Now it appears once again that the presence or absence of a facility of the forum is generating more conversation than the reason we're all here - to discuss Keratoconus on a friendly public forum.

I am getting sick and tired of the fuss about this. The KC group are not here to facilitate personal conversations. There are a myriad free e-mail providers for that. Right now, I am considering the recommendation I will make to the committee - to disable the PM facility once and for all; or to permanently ban those people who cause conflict, either on the forum, or by telephoning members of the committee at their home and shouting at them.

I'd like to take no further action at all, and if things calm down nicely, that's exactly what I will do. So please, can we have some order once again, ladies and gents?

Rant over. Sorry for annoying anyone.
