I don't give a dingo's kidneys who is in the squad :D

Who ever is left out will be used an excuse if England loose.

I'm 100% with Anne on this one.

I couldn't really give two hoots about football; but when it comes to the World Cup, we actually get some national pride back!

Union Jacks and St. George's flags are flying!

Yeah John, pride until we actually start playing and show yet again that we are 3rd rate
Oh well perhaps Wayne will be fit for the next world cup and we can talk up our chances then

I reckon the following will occur

Arsenal are going to lose to Barcelona (unless Barca have 2 vital injuries in the team)

England will get to the Semi's then be knocked out

Any odds anyone?

We shall bet with a NEW international KurrenCy, and it will be called KurrenCy

I take Arsenal to beat Barca by two clear goals and England will just scrape out of the group stage and then be beaten in the 1st knockout match.

I think it would be daft to take Rooney and gamble on his fitness, they would be better picking an experienced player such as Fowler who regularly does play with Peter Crouch and has played with Michael Owen at least they have a good understanding of each other.

OK Fowler may not be fully match fit and only be able to do an hour or so - but they dont know if Rooney will be able to kick a ball in 6 weeks time, let alone be fit. With the form that Lampard and Gerrard are showing at the moment they should be OK.

At the end of the day one man doesn't make a team, so using Rooney as an excuse not to win the world cup is just plain defeatist. Besides 40 years ago - Greavesy was the no1 striker and was injured and we won.

As to how we will do - hmmmm difficult - certainly into the quarter finals - probably the semis.

Just my two pennies worth.
