I love Reggae, and particularly like the "an' t'ing" sort of punctuation. I think it probably means either :"and so on" or "etcetera",. but it sounds wonderful, expecially when it appears several times in a lyric

-- edit Emma you served coffee to President Clinton? Wow.

That has to be the ultimate, "guess what I did at work today" story.

Hehe... yes, "an' t'ing" is used all the time for etc etc but not quite where we would use it.

My doctor told me he was "Going to Paris an t'ing" for "he holidays" for example. I am sure its often used just because it sounds good!

It sounds wonderful. I think that English as it is spoken in T and T is ust so lyrical.

Tee hee

West Indian English. Lynn lived there for a bit and she introduced some phonetic patois in an earlier part of the string.

What did you think of the President? Your coffee story has trumped any that any of us is likely to be able to share. :D Well done

west indian english, u should hear some of the accents in NI, being originally from the Republic, even i find them hard to understand!

Clinton was a gentleman - really old in person though. He was there for an official opening of the building - the 'Clinton Peace Centre'. Was a real surreal experience - Men in black suits and ear pieces and the bomb squad outside! lol
