Weetabix....and chocolate?

Postby Pat A » Mon 02 Apr 2007 8:34 am

It's amazing what you find on the supermarket shelves when you can actually see!

I'm trying to lose weight, and want a breakfast cereal that is good for me and tastes good too. Having a bit of a sweet tooth too, I have discovered "Weetabix Minis chocolate crisp" have less calories and fat per serving than Special K with red berries and less sugar than cornflakes. And they taste wonderful! Now you know you can have chocolate for breakfast whilst on a diet!

I was on a diet but had to give it up because I can't eat porride without salt, and salt seems to be bad for blood pressure.

Maybe I ought to go back to being 29. Had none of these troubles then!

I was eating for two when I was 29! .........Trouble is I don't think I ever really got out of the habit!!! :P

Why don't you try the mashed up Weetabix Andrew - not quite porridge but doesn't need salt! Aparaently you can get banana ones as well as chocolate!

I do the thing with mashed up weetabix, even tried oatabix. Not the same.

Right now, when I have breakfast, I am eating shredded wheat with grapes. Very nice, and also contains not a few fibres. Very healthy!

I love those oatibix especially with the choc chips and raisins. I also like porridge but like sugar with it so that is no good.
i also have a thing for bite size shredded wheat and hot milk.
The best has got to be fresh uncut bread , cut nice and thick toasted with kerrygold or lurpack butter dripping of mmmmm.

mmmmm! I'd add a bit of honey to the toast.

I'm off to make some breakfast now!!! Now then, what shall I have?

Kerrie

I can resist anything except temptation. I think I will go to the kitchen and cut a thick slice from the new loaf that I carried up this morning from the baker.

Somebody has to make sure that it has not gone "off".
