Hehe i thought it was about time that i saw snow in London having lived here almost three years!!

I am well used to having snow back home in Wales and only remember not going to school once and that was because it was so deep we literally had to dig ourselves out of the front door!!

I love snow and had loads of snowball fights in school and making snowmen. We had an airraid shelter in our back garden as a child (filled in by my dad) and we used to build a nice slide down from it! It was great fun the local ids used to come around and we'd climb up the wall and down it!! Hehe i won't forget how dam cold it was though!!!  :P

The snowman is the one complete with poo

I could not stop laughing when i took my dog for a walk before making the snowman. The parents were saying they were glad the schools wer closed as they were worried about driving in the snow. I pointed out they all drive Chelsea Tractors and the school is only 800 yards away :x

My daughters school is 3 miles because the village school does not have any aftercare facilities. Plus most the kids at her school started at the nursery attached to the school.

Anne; Thanks for doing your bit. Lob one up the M1 direction and with any luck it will hit the teachers at my daughters school

Daughter is upset now, she has just noticed it is dark and can not play outside with Mummy when she gets back from work.

She wants to play Himallaya's ( :? ) with real life snow.

Mummy has agreed to play with her before school if she gets up early. That is assuming the schools will be open.

Forcasters are already advising not to travel because the snow is going to freeze.

If people had gone out in the first place the salt from the gritters will have been ground into the snow so it can do its job. The roads would then be like any other frosty morning.

Should the school be closed tomorrow, I think I will look at emigrating to Canada or New Zealand. With the type of work I do and my qualifications I already meet their strict imigration criterea. My wife just makes it because of her language skills.

Yet to find if the school is closed tommorrow.

My father in law is the one that sounds like Victor Meldrew and I told him that his not stop complaining probably contributed to his heart attack 2 1/2 years ago!

Happy to know you are reaping the benefits of the cold weather.
Gareth
