The traditional association of bunnies with easter is culinary. Rabbits began to appear again above gorund in the spring, and the poor people trapped them and put them in pies, or stews, or roasting trays.

The Rabbit is not native to the UK. They were introduced by the Romans as a source of protein for the poor people. The keeper of the Rabbits was called the Warrender.

Our ancestors were far less sentimental than we are.
