Hi Paul, welcome!
Check out all the information on this site, on the home page lots of useful stuff. It's good that your vision is still being corrected with glasses, have you asked the optician what comes next if he feels that your current glasses will last 6-12 months? Is he considering contact lens? If so, try not to worry, it takes time to adjust. The progression of KC varies in each person, you may be fine with glasses or contacts forevermore, not everyone needs a graft or experiences complications.
Keep asking questions, everyone here is really helpful and supportive. Check out the social and annual general meetings too if you would like some face to face contact with fellow KCer's.

Members usually reply fairly quickly Paul, many check messages everyday, so don't worry, if you post a message you will get a response relatively quickly, it just depnds who is online.

Yes it can be harder fitting a KC cornea for a lens, it depends on how steep the curvature is. What is your sight like? Are you managing with your glasses to do the things you need to do?

Don't worry about being referred to the eye hospital, they would have some extra machines for measuring your corneas which the high street optician doesn't have, and they can sometimes access a greater range of lenses [I know everyone's experience of NHS services vary].

Paul

Its hard to say how long the glasses will last....may be 2 months may be 5 years...it all depends on how fast the KC progresses......so I wouldnt get to hung up on the time scales..as youll only know WHEN it happens.

The transition thereafter is to Contact Lenses....which there are a number of designs!...
