Dear Santa!

Ok ... there are only 13 days left until Christmas, so you had better get your letters posted to Santa before then!!

So hurry up and vote! And no, while Santa can give most things, he can't sadly take away this condition! Sorry folks!!!

It's just a pity that Santa's magic wand(last option) can't give us eyes without any KC :-(

Still, chin up Claire - you're getting closer to the magic 300 post mark! Quite an enterprising idea, too!

I have gone for better vision with a new contact lens. After much trial and error and going to hospital once a month for the past 6 months I hopefully pick up my new lens on Tuesday 20 Dec, so hopefully I will no longer be one eyed :D

Hehe, i am going for the same thing! I actually don't mind having KC, well to the point that there is nothing i can do about it! LOL! And as Santa hasn't quite got around to being able to 'cure' us, for want of a better word, am going to go along with a new lens as i need a new RGP one!

Gareth i really hope it goes well, and John i'm getting closer to 300 posts and i have days to go yet!! ROFL! :P

Just don't forget to put what you want on your Christmas list, before you let it disappear up the chimney! :) Because POOF and it's gone!!!!!!!

Hhmm i find this very surprising that no-one has voted for having a graft tomorrow when we seem to be always complaining of waiting!! LOL! Maybe those who have voted have had one and so want another option!! LOL!! I think i would have voted for a graft if i hadn't already had it done.

The one thing i didn't add to this was better vision with a graft, as i AM tired of waiting for that!!

Hello all

I really would like to vote for more than one option here, greedy maybe?

Sadly, I think in some ways KC has made me more evil, I regularly find myself wanting to stamp on peoples glasses when the stupid questions and comments have gone on for too long.

The latest for me being at work.......

'Oh you are another one like *&*& you can see what they see'

Well of course I can!!!!! After all we both have two completely different conditions the only thing in common we have is it is our eyes that have the problem. Talk about narrow minded and blinkered vision.
Why not explain to them I hear you asking, well after having briefed everyone several times it starts to get a little wearing.
I do find it a tad insulting though as I am sure they wouldn't be so cruel as to tell someone in a wheel chair 'see your legs don't work then'

anyway rant over

Susan

I know that this is going to be a big suprise for all of you but I have ti admit that I went for a corneal graft.

:-)

The KC in my right eye is not an issue (yet), I can still manage with glasses. But I do need the graft done in the left.

So please Santa can I have a corneal graft?

I will be good - promise.

Susan it is ok to come here and complain, sometimes peoples comments are just plain stupid and you have to wonder where their sanity went! Hehehe, if Santa has any room in his sack i'm sure he may be nice and give you another option lmao!! But ssshhh .... i so didn't say that!!!

Paul, it is interesting to find one person here who would like to have a graft tomorrow! I'm sure that if he can Santa will try his best to work something out, and maybe his elves will be able to help out! On the promise of being good, anything is possible!!!!!! :P

Maybe Santa would lend me his sack, once he has made all his deliveries of course and I could put any undesirables in it?

I can but wish I suppose!

Sweet, thanks.

Perhaps I should abandon the good bit and just go for norty!

Anyway speaking to the consultants secretaries today (he has two, one private and one nhs).

Its seems that they had both assumed that the other was sorting me out....

Grrrrrr

So they now know and the NHS paperwork is waiting for the consultant to fill in (today/tomorrow) and then go to the waiting list people.

So at the moment I will settle for being on the list by Christmas. Though a cornea tomorrow would be good.

:-)

Paul
