Moorfields Appt Friday

Postby Sweet » Mon 12 Dec 2005 1:29 am

Hey there! :D

Have a follow up appointment this Friday at Moorfields to see how the piggy back system is going. I find it a lot easier so won't have many bad things to say! LOL!

Would be mentioning though about maybe trying weekly or daily ones, as they do tend to smudge a lot and get foggy and so i have to take them out and rinse them. Though whether that is my bad cleaning i'm not too sure! But i think that maybe if i could throw them away every night, or at least wear them for a shorter time may help. I was told that having daily ones makes you more prone to an infection, but then me cleaning them every night seems to me to be a more likely case for an infection?

Am also needing to check in with my optometrist and get my RGP lens checked, as have just realised that it is a year old now. Although after being blind for so long have only had six months use out of it! I think though that maybe after so much time without a lens that my eye might have changed and may be actually causing me the clouding problem, and not my lenses! Or maybe i'm just trying to be optimistic here, and change my now 6/12 vision back to 6/6!

Was just wondering if anyone had any ideas before i go? Also if anyone is around Friday my appointment is in the afternoon. So let me know in that i can look out for you and say hello!!

Take care

I would suspect that your eye will have changed as not wearing a Lens for that amount of time will have enabled the eye to get back to its initial KC shape....but its always good to be seen regularly in all honesty!..
KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -
