Foggy vision

For the last few days, I've been experiencing more "foggy vision" through my grafted eye. The fog seems to start very soon after waking, and will take a random amount of time to clear.
I did mention this to my consultant last time I saw her, but she reassured me that it wasn't a rejection or anything that she could see under the slit lamp
.
However, back then, the fog was lifting after an hour or so. It's now taking 5 hours or so to clear.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Ive had this twice so far
Basically its the back cells that regenerate every 28-30 days.....I had it 7 weeks post graft and then again about 14 weeks....
First time it took about 9 hours to get smaller and about 3 days to clear..................second time it went away within a day.............
Not sure if you are experiencing the same......but thought this may help

Hehehe ... John i can see that me threatening to post for you has some effect in that you pretty quickly post yourself! LOL!!
I'm really sorry that your vision is bad, but am glad that it isn't another rejection episode. Am hoping that it all clears soon.

John...
Foggy vision like this is due to oedema. It is most likely to occur straight after awakening as your corneas receives less oxygen during sleep.
If it does not settle down soon, I should contact your ophthalmologist and see if you can arrange an appointment early in the morning so she can see it while it is happening!
Always better safe than sorry!

I'm seeing my consultant on Thursday (in the afternoon unfortunately), and I'll certainly be raising it with her again then. Hopefully I'll get a morning appointment sometime soon!

Ahhh
Thats a shame... being in the afternoon I mean. Are you wearing a lens in this eye?

I do have a scleral for that eye, but I haven't worn it for some time - as I'm taking FML drops 6 times a day and Timolol twice!

Right...
so its not oedema caused by lens wear then...
Well its good you have this appointment and I think you really have to push her to investigate. I can't suggest any more than that as I can't see your eye from here!!

If you have the whole day off for the appt, can you sleep in until early afternoon so as far as your eye is concerned it is morning?

I've now arranged to take the whole day off for the appointment, and will be doing just that.
Of course, I've been awake for about 10 hours now, and still have some "fog", but the more the merrier as they say
