KC Group conference in Manchester

Postby Anne Klepacz » Thu 09 May 2013 3:44 pm

Our mailing list members will already have received booking forms and details of our conference in June. For any non-mailing list forum members who haven't spotted the announcement on the home page, do look at
keratoconus-group.org.uk/events/nldn_conference.html
and e-mail anne@keratoconus-group.org.uk if you'd like a booking form. We need to receive all bookings by 31st May, so don't delay if you'd like to be there!

There will be talks on surgical options for KC, contact lenses, the work of the eye bank, corneal donation. And lots of time to ask questions and meet other people with KC. If you're interested, do e-mail me and I'll send you more details and a booking form.
Looking forward to seeing lots of our members there!
Anne

Anne

I had a consultation with Mr Brahma yesterday at MREH. He mentioned the conference to me and indicated that the take up on tickets was low - how many people have booked to date?

Will the event be professionally audio visually recorded and put on a dvd?

These dvds could then be sold at a reasonable cost for those unable to make the event and it would also generate funds for future events/KC support projects

Great idea on the video

I doubt I will make it up. (From West London)
Options were about £160 for flight
Train £82 return but means a 5am start and return after midnight
Car option is a 4 hour (minimum) drive each way

A DVD of the sessions would be appreciated

Regards
Ian

I've just checked National Rail and there are advance single tickets for £26 on the 6:55, 7:20, 7:35 and 8:00 (£19 on the 6:36) trains to Manchester and some £19 tickets for the return. So you could do Euston to Manchester return for £45.
