Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has any experiences of cross linking on the nhs? My local nhs does not offer it but does anyone know if this is offered at Manchester eye hospital or any other hospitals in the north west?

Re: Cross linking and the NHS
The Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield offers CXL on the NHS as does St Paul's Eye Unit in Liverpool. But you would need to get funding from your local PCT or Clinical Commissioning Group if you're not in the catchment area for those hospitals. You'll probably have seen that NICE (the body that approves treatments on the NHS) is reviewing its guidance on CXL this year. (There's a thread about the coming public consultation on the revised guidance on this forum). If NICE endorses CXL this time, then hopefully it will be available at more hospitals around the country.
Hope that helps
