Hello all!

Update time!

I have my new Kerasoft IC lens arrive and the news is good!

I can drive again, vision is better than pre op. the 'ghosting' is all gone. There are still quite bad starbursts but for short journeys in the dark I can cope and This apparently should improve over time.

Very positive and hopeful and away for my 1 month check up with David Jory who did the CXL tomorrow

The eye I have never been able to see out of from birth is suffering though. Weeping badly and looks like it may have hydrops. Aches sometimes too. As its no use I don't quite know what to do with it?

Nick

Great to hear that you've had such a good result, Nick, when it must have been such a hard decision to make with only one useful eye. As for your other eye, your specialist should be able to confirm whether it's a hydrops or not. If it is, then some specialists prescribe drops, others just leave it to heal naturally. Let us know how you get on.

Update time....

4 months post Femto Pocket CXL and things are happening....

The eye/ cornea appears to be changing shape with the point of the cornea dropping and lifting again slightly. My prescription is still quite a bit stronger than pre op but thats to be expected apparently. Vision is about the same as pre op...just good enough to get the line to drive!

Halos and ghosting still quite bad but again to be expected and they are changing in their appearance.

Figers crossed for the coming months and hurrah for light nights!!

Nick
