4 WEEKS AFTER GRAFT UPDATE

Hi Folks,
Just thought I would update you onmy progress so far.
Its been jsut over 4 weeks since my grft on my right eye. My check ups have not been with my consultant due to him being off on compassionate leave. However all is going as normal so far. No infections, no sign of rejection and the steroid drops are down to 4 times per day.
Although the general settling down on a morning and the general discomfort is less I am still very sensitive to sunlight. Some days all the blinds are closed in the house! I wear dark glasses when out and about and have drops too. The sensitivity is worse when I am travelling in the car, bus or train...think it has something to do with being behind glass??
iT does get tired very quickly and can have really bad headaches too and general eye strain and exhaustion. Frustrating at times but I just keep telling myself in the long term it will be worth it.
I had a refraction yesterday. Unaided it is 1/60 and best corrected is 3/36. So still extremely poor but I am told this is to be expected.
My next appointment is 11th Dec, my consultant is due back then so I will be defo asking him what exercise I can do and is it safe to visit the Turkish Baths during the xmas holidays. So far, I havent done much exercise...no gym or aerobic acitivity just walking....managed 17 miles over last week but this week is zero so faron account of the weather.
bye for now
