Newsletter

Postby rosemary johnson » Wed 16 Nov 2005 6:35 pm

My newsletter arrived the other day.
It looks very smart in its new colour scheme.
well done adn thanks to those concerned.

I read that Mike is standing down.
Best wishes, Mike, in your new home in the NOrth-west. And with finding out about the north-west KC specialists.
Many thanks for all you've done over the last - well, quite a lot, actually - of years.

Is there a Treasurer in the house ?
If so, can the group take CAF vouchers?

I don't know, but I'm seeing the Treasurer tonight, and I'll try to remember to ask him!

Newsletter

Postby Mike Oliver » Sun 20 Nov 2005 8:54 pm

I think Mark has done a great job with the new format newsletter. Thanks to those who have posted messages about my departure as Chair and their kind words.
Unfortunately for you all, I may have stood down, but any reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated - I now have more time to post messages here and look forward to doing so without the diplomatic constraints that necessarily go with being Group chair!
Having said that and at the risk of boring everyone rigid, the Group needs funds to continue and expand its activities (and I know Christmas is looming), so whatever you can spare or raise would be put to very good use and be of benefit to us all.

SO we'll look forward to reading you here much more, then, Mike!
I'm sure no-one's been spreading word of your demise - and wasn't it you exaggerating soemwhere else today.
Wearing sclerals for 40 years? - and he doesn't lok a day over 24-again!

The content (if not the excellent new look of the printed version) is now on-line on the main site.
