Hi All,

Since monday when i arrived at university i've been noticing my vision seems much better without wearing my glasses.

things close up seem much more clear without them and also further away and i've been getting really bad headaches (which i think might be due to wearing my glasses)

I've had KC for sometime now and had a eye graft on my right eye in 2001 which seems to improved things alot. but in my left eye the KC seems to have taken over leaving me with just slight vision.

Kind of worried as i'm doing a Multmedia Technolgoy degree (just started it) which means i'm sat in front of pcs all day so really dont want to do any damage to my working eye.

Should i contact the eye hospital in oxford and have a word? my next appointment to see them is in december which seems a awful long time away.

I am assuming that the eye that you use for glasses has got worse?...and not the graft one?

I would def get it checked out to be honest just to see if things have changed

I have strated to use multimedia a lot more at work since KC prevents me going into the laboratory. I find short regular breaks has done away with headaches. Where I need to use a different pc, I take time to adjust the screen settings to suit my vision. I find extra 5 mins at the start means I get the job done quicker than if I just use a pc in its default settings.

Get the glasses sorted so vision is comfortable and then find what is comfortable when using a computer.

Once determined, setting next time is a doddle, I have settings for full vision, seeing with left eye only, seeing with right eye only, and partial sight in both eyes. Once things are set, my productivity is the same regardless of sight levels. My boss has said since beeing more disiplined with organising my work environment for different sight levels, my productivity is up. All I am doing is using the same copeing strategy I had at uni when my sight was far worse.
