HEY EVERYONE I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF ORGANISING A SMALL EVENT I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH MY OLD SCHOOL AND THEY ARE GOING TO LET ME RUN A SMALL EVENT PROVIDING THE LOCAL COUNCIL APPROVE IT.

GUESS HOW OLD THE SHARK IS COMPETITION THE WINNER WILL GET AN ALMOST LIFESIZE VERSION OF A SHARK TEDDY WELL IM 6FEET 2 AND ITS ALMOST THE SAME SIZE AS ME,

ALSO I HAVE LOADS OF SPARE TIME ON MY HANDS SO IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME IDEAS ON RAISING FUNDS THEN LET ME KNOW BECAUSE LIKE ANN SAID ITS NOT CHEAP TO MAKE A DVD OF THE CONFERENCE AND PUBLISH NEWSLETTERS AND OUR MODEST WEB GUY SOME FUNDS TOWARDS HIS HARD EFFORTS BUT EVEN IF I GET FUNDS FOR THE KITTY SO THE GROUP CAN PAY FOR THINGS PLUS THE MORE EVENTS DONE THE MORE INFORMATION PEOPLE WILL GET.

SO GET THOSE IDEAS IN PLEASE   :?: THANKS JAMES

hi james,
I have a idea to raise money for Keratoconus Research.

It involves a sponsered cycle event? are you interested in doing it?

I was thinking of cycling from Cambridge to Newmarket. It's about 15 miles.

Please pass on this information to everyone else.

I sent this reply further down the board....

I have abseiled a number of tall buildings for sponsorship (the last time 3 years ago just before I was diagnosed ironically for the RNIB).

I would also like to organise (or help organise! that's a plea for help) a sponsored walk, and have been mentioning to Anne a Northern take on the Thames Path walk (not quite as North as Scotland I was thinking the Mersey River rather than the Clyde!).

I will contact the Agency overseeing the Mersey and see how far I get. I will post a new post soon to ask for volunteers/sponsors and to raise awareness of the Event which will hopefully raise awareness of teh Group and the Condition as well.
