CXL results

I just have something that I want to bring to this forum and maby I could get som help answearing my questions.

Firts of all the CXL resulted (for me, i know many people have this procedure nice and safe) in : Increased astigmatism (3,5-> 4,5), cloudy cornea ( except for in the center which is probably why I can see with lens) and some haze that still persists after one year post op.
Does anybody have a clue what this things are, is it normal after one year, can it be reversed and if so how?

Also i am quite sceptical that my doc performed the right protocoll, i did not receive any bandage lens afterwards for example and I have red that this could lead to pronlonged ephitelal healing.

When I had the CXL procedure, I had the bandage lens on my eye for a week, to prevent it from getting infected. I also wore an eye guard at night for a while to stop myself from rubbing the eye.

So maybe the eye got infected somehow? If it is infected they could give you antibiotic drops and/or some type of anti-inflammatory drop.

The best thing to do is get a professional opinion from more than 1 place. In situations like this, I go to the A&E dept. of my local eye hospital as well as the private clinic where I got my CXL procedure done from to see if their opinions on the matter are different or not.

Funnily enough, I'm sure I've read somewhere that using a bandage contact can slightly delay healing and increase the chance of a permanent haze (though not by much). Most doctors would still do it in order to avoid infection, though.

Have you been able to find out your corneal thickness before the procedure?
