Hi all
Just wanted to know from other people who have had grafts that how long must you wait to, if possible, to restart weight training. Obviously I wouldnt go really heavy but just wanted to know if it would be fine and not harmful to do so at this stage. I am currently 13 weeks post graft. What other types of exercises are possible at this stage and further on eg sit ups, push ups, circuit training etc.
I have asked consultants but get varied replies, from its ok but as long as I dont go excessively heavy where my iop would rise too high, and other replies have been to try and avoid it.
Has anyone else had problems after their graft with heavy/moderate lifting?

I have now started ...
Started two weeks back with the treadmill for a week with high gradient, and light weights...and am seeing how I go.
The trick is not to exert or hold your breatht thus building pressur ein the head/eyes...remain with constant breating....you sound and look a bit odd but hey do we care? lol.
I dont think Ill train hard and heavy until at least Feb as that will be 9 months for me......
I didnt get a conclusive answer to this from anyone, however over on the US boards there were about 4 or 5 power lifters who were training after 6 months with heavier weights...but I personally wouldnt do this...Id start light...get the body acustomed etc

This topic is very good.
I`m actually almost 1 year post graft and I have tried to do some lifting but as I raise the weights I get some pressure on my eye so I decided not do lifting because it wouldn`t have much effect. But I`m worried about my trainings because I`m going to have rigid lenses.Could I still renew my trainigs with heavy weights?
Is it going to be harmful for me and the pressure involved? If anyone could answer me ,please do.Thank you
