Has anybody been treated Bruce Allan? I am considering a corneal transplant, and am due to see him, but would like to know of any other experienced surgeons at Moorfields. I am sure they are all highly talanted, but I really would like to see the best, as I am very nervous about the procedure. I have had KC for 15 years and finally I have had to face up to the fact that I will need surgery. I would appreciate anyones advice, particularly if you have undergone surgery at Moorfields, both good and bad experiences please.

I saw David Gartry who is one of the top corneal guys in the country..however I am pretty sure all the Consultants there are extremely good!......its just my view is that the more Corneal Grafts a surgeon has done the better the chances of an outcome...due to the very nature of this procedure and the importance of how the consultant does it.

However; saying that Rejection is the one thing that cant be controlled by any consultant....if it happens we all have to take the same thing!

However do explore the DALK as that offers a near 0 chance of rejection if you can
