Got my graft date at last!

Just a quick update for the people who have been so supportive during my long journey. I will be going in for my graft on 27 June
. I have mixed feelings at the moment, I am very excited on one hand but also very nervous! I'm preparing myself for the next long journey of recovery. I am very hopeful that I might be able to get some of my life back!
I will keep you all posted on how I am getting on!

Good wishes for your op. Im one year on today and life is so good. My vision is now 6/6. Today thinking about my donor a lot. Don't be nervous be excited and look forward to exciting things. Regards Dawn x

Thank you everyone for your supportive messages.
I can't wait to get the procedure done and start the next chapter. The pre-op assessment went well, I have been for a lens check today, I've given up on the lens for my right eye ready for the graft next week. The left eye has deteriorated and they can't improve my vision beyond the 4th line of the snellen chart. Hopefully the graft will improve the vision for my right eye and then the overall vision will be better!
I'm all set for next Wednesday, even got my bag packed already (not that I'm excited or anything
).
