Bad decision

The first part of the story is a good decision. My wife and I made up our minds to walk the West Highland Way. In the event we completed the 97.41 mile walk in seven days. Of that time we spent 45 hours and 41 minutes actually walking.
The bad decision was that I thought I could manage the walk without my contact lens. Since my bilateral grafts I need glasses plus a lens. The absence of the RGP on my left eye gives me good monocular vision but the path is challenging in places and depth perception is a huge help.
Still, we finished the walk and heartily recommend it to anyone wondering what to do with a week off work. Go in April or May; the Scottish Midgies make walking in the summer less attractive.
