Keratoconus: Yes, I have KC

Crosslinking

Postby danieljdavies » Tue 13 Mar 2012 10:22 pm

Hi has anyone had this done?
Had mine done 2 weeks ago. Just wondering what is the healing time and how long on average does it take to get my pre operation vision back?

Thanks
Dan

Daniel,

Any such questions really do need to be directed at your consultant. Each person with KC has a completely individual history and asking here for advice may lead to unrealistic expectations.

My own patients often report totally different results/information for each eye that has been cross linked - and that is for the same person! Recovery results depend on condition/scarring/contact lens wear etc etc and also on individual responses to treatment.

To answer your questions in a general way..... recovery can take from 6 weeks to 6 months though generally 6 weeks is the average. If you think your vision is very blurry then ask to see your consultant again.
