So, saturday evening I was watching (well ok listening) to Xfactor, my right eye begun to burn, went to the mirror n sure enough bright red, as the hour went on more n more sensitive to the light, my head said "this isnt right" n rung a friend n went up the road to a&e. a&e were superb, shame the duty optom who came out was clearly unimpressed at his saturday evening being disturbed, he paid little attention to what I was saying and decided "your eye is just very dry use more hylo tears".
By mid morning today I was in a eye patch and sunglasses still incredibly photo sensitive and all drops burning like a *****
Went up to eye casualty and got informed after 2 seperate people checked my eye "youve a infection under the graft take oxyal and we will see you tomorrow" I asked is the graft looking clear tho as in no sign of rejection and got told "it has white patches on it" and sent on my way.
So back I will go tomoro at 330pm. As I type this eye is twitchy and driving me nuts, praying this isnt the start of yet another rejection episode.

Re: Infection UNDER transplant
So sorry to hear that you've got an infection under the graft.

Yes, keeping everything crossed for you Lea
If you don't mind me asking, as I wasn't around when it all happened with your graft, can you tell me why they did the full-depth PK rather than the DALK (sorry if you're fed up of reciting the whole tale already...)
Best wishes
Chris
