lubricating Drops Post Graft

Postby GrandPaClanger » Sat 07 May 2011 4:32 am

Hi All

Day four of the graft and all still going well. I am going to be out tonight so will be up later than normal (well since Tuesday). I was going to ask the hospital if it would be Ok to drop in a couple of the lubricating drops I use on the other eye (single use Celluvisc) but forgot

Any one any experience . I don't want to do anything out of turn.

Thanks for that Michelle. Eye has been a bit achy the last couple of days so used some Celuvisc if it wasn't to soon before or after main drops. Spoke to the hospital about the achy bit and they are sure it's just normal healing (nothing else on the RSVP list). The Celuvisc helped and it's been better today. I am at the hospital on Thursday (9 days post graft) So I will ask the question then about using Celuvisc . Just signed up for a prepayment certificate to cut down on the prescription charges which is good as Celuvics is flippin expensive

i was like that a week after the graft and spoke to one of the doctors and he said it was too early for a rejection episode and prescribe celluvisc.
i am 14 mths post graft and still use them up to 6 x a day.
also if you still have your bandage lens in. it will be more sore achy when its taken out as you havent got the protection there.
lubricate as much as you can with celluvisc. max 6x day.

Thanks for that. They didn't put a bandage lens in :).
