Hello all, thought I should update as I now have some more news.
Admission for graft on left eye is Wednesday 30th Nov (decided during April consultants appt I couldn't carry on like this and following several other consultations with the hospital everything put into motion).
Cant really say much else at the moment other than it feels like the end of the line, hopefully it will be a positive turn onto a new 'sighted' life.
Will keep you updated, may have to get one of my PAs to post

don't let the people that mean nothing to you get you down, because in the end they are worth nothing to you, they are just your obstacles in life to trip you up!

had a phone call early this morning, from the hospital. Transplant has been postponed and is now likely to be mid January.
All in all a very bad day for me and the family, arriving at mum and dads mid morning today following receiving the call from hospital (Thursday) with a few bits of shopping for them to sadly find that Dad had passed away in his sleep, likely sometime during the night, sat in his chair.
Maybe under the circumstances the cancellation is a blessing in disguise

Don't know what to say. This must be a crushing blow: you get yourself used to the idea that something is going to happen and then the carpet is whipped from under your feet.
At least you have Christmas without the limitations of post surgery.
Every good wish.
Andrew
