Hello all, thought I should update as I now have some more news.

Admission for graft on left eye is Wednesday 30th Nov (decided during April consultants appt I couldn't carry on like this and following several other consultations with the hospital everything put into motion).

Cant really say much else at the moment other than it feels like the end of the line, hopefully it will be a positive turn onto a new 'sighted' life.

Will keep you updated, may have to get one of my PAs to post ;-)

Susan

All the very best for next Wednesday, Susan. I'm sure everyone who has been following your posts will be with you and hoping that this is indeed the start of a positive time for you.

had a phone call early this morning, from the hospital. Transplant has been postponed and is now likely to be mid January.

All in all a very bad day for me and the family, arriving at mum and dads mid morning today following receiving the call from hospital (Thursday) with a few bits of shopping for them to sadly find that Dad had passed away in his sleep, likely sometime during the night, sat in his chair.

Maybe under the circumstances the cancellation is a blessing in disguise :?

Don't know what to say. This must be a crushing blow: you get yourself used to the idea that something is going to happen and then the carpet is whipped from under your feet.

At least you have Christmas without the limitations of post surgery.

Every good wish.
